Alvila Skills Workflow is Eclipse IDE and runtime based on Alvila Skills technology which enables development and deployment of GUI applications driven by workflows.
Alvila Skills Workflow tries to ease the whole process of application development. On the other hand, it does not aim to completely remove programmer from the development process. So the achievable goal of Alvila Skills Workflow is to supply environment for model-driven development of applications, which can be used as a starting point for further customization or just as a feasibility study of customer's request. But the creation itself must be user-friendly, in this instance as prototype user is considered a business analyst, which has some knowledge of software development and basic experiences with programming. In conclusion, Alvila Skills Workflow wants to allow easy creation of applications representing some business process over some data.
Alvila Skills Workflow aims to be integrated development environment for development of GUI based workflow applications. Alvila Skills Workflow provides building blocks (individual GUI widgets) and a tool to effectively create connections between them (transitions). Finally it’s possible to generate application with dynamically changing UI content according to defined workflow.
